GERRIT J. HULTINK, M.A., C. PSYCH., R. PSYCH.

LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST

I am approved to practice psychology in the provinces of Alberta and Ontario by the College of Psychologists in Alberta and Ontario.  Both Colleges have recognized my capacity to deliver psychological services in the areas of Clinical psychology, Counseling psychology and School psychology.

I am able to provide assessment, diagnoses and treatment for a wide range of psychological disorders

I have been actively engaged in the provision of psychological services for over two decades, working with clients in government/institutional settings, school boards, community agencies and private practices across three U.S. States (Louisiana, Texas and Californaia) and two Canadian Provinces (Alberta and Ontario).

I am licensed to work with children, adolescents and adults.  I am licensed to provide individual therapy, couples therapy and family therapy.  My  primary delivery model is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, often referred to as CBT, although I will use other approaches, such as Solution focused or Dialectical/Mindfulness, depending on the needs of the client(s).

My approach to therapy is wholistic.  As a  graduate of Calvin College and Fuller Theological Seminary (Graduate School of Psychology), I have a strong interest in the entire well-being of the individual, seeking to understand and provide healing and support for not only an individual's physical and mental well-being, but their spiritual as well.

Through the use of collaborative therapy, my clients cultivate healthier frames of mind as well as develop life-changing habits in order to help them cope and, over time, overcome a variety of life’s challenges. We explore personal issues and consider effective tools in order to enhance their overall mental well-being.
